Oneness Broadcasting Network ("OBN", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard your information when you use the Oneness TV web application, our streaming services and any associated platforms ("Service"). We comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) of South Africa, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable equivalent laws worldwide.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: name, email, phone, billing details, prayer requests, partnership pledges and uploaded content. We also automatically collect device, browser, IP, viewing history, watch duration, language and approximate location through cookies, pixels and similar technologies.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and personalize the Service, process payments and partnership, send notifications and reminders, respond to prayer requests, fight fraud, perform analytics and comply with legal obligations.
3. Lawful Basis (GDPR)
We rely on (a) consent, (b) performance of contract, (c) legitimate interests, and (d) legal obligation as the lawful bases for processing personal data.
4. Sharing
We share information with payment processors, email and SMS providers, video CDN partners, analytics providers, hosting and security vendors, all under strict data processing agreements. We never sell your personal information.
5. International Transfers
We may transfer information outside your country, including to South Africa, the EU and the United States. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent safeguards.
6. Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfil legal obligations. Account data is deleted within 30 days of verified account deletion request.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, port, restrict, object to processing and delete your personal information. To exercise your rights, contact privacy@onenesstv.org. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) or your local supervisory authority.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without verifiable parental consent.
9. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including TLS 1.3, AES-256 encryption at rest, role-based access control, MFA for staff, and regular penetration testing.
10. Cookies
We use essential cookies (authentication, security), performance cookies (analytics) and personalisation cookies (preferences). You can control cookies in your browser settings.
11. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or via the Service.
